In writing the story Linda the Ladybug Goes to Heaven, it was my desire to help young readers envision what Heaven will be like. Linda the Ladybug is a small little insect that children can relate to. She is very excited about her discoveries, yet apprehensive as well. For example her tiny lady bug fears come to surface, when she accidentally lands among a habitation of lions and is concerned that she might turn into lion lunch. It turns out well however, because beside the lions were many lambs. Linda the Ladybug soon realizes that there is nothing to fear. She learns to enjoy her predicament…mehr
She learns to enjoy her predicament by petting and playing with her new found friends.
My main objective in writing Linda the Ladybug Goes to Heaven, was to bring the gospel message to children in a way that they could relate to, understand and become excited about. Ever since I was a young Christian, I have been drawn to learning more about Heaven. I would often enjoy fantasizing what it would be like to walk on streets made of gold, to possibly fly with angel wings, to see beauty beyond belief and to continuously experience the love of God.
This story helps readers to understand that we as Christians do not have to fear death. Matter of fact, God's word - the Bible, shows us that the best is yet to come! Linda the Ladybug Goes to Heaven is my attempt to give readers a tour of Heaven though the eyes of this small, apprehensive insect. As a result, we can learn from the example of Linda the Ladybug. That by having a relationship with the owner of Heaven - Jesus, some day we too can live Happily Ever After for all eternity.

Sharon Murray's, beloved name of Miss Sharon has come from over 12 years of preschool education experience. It first came about back in 1978, when after graduating from with an A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education; she began teaching the 3 year old class at Light & Life Day Care in After 4 years, the opportunity came about to start a home day care of her own. This was a tremendous thrill, because it allowed her to fulfill her teaching ambition as well as be both teacher and Mom to her daughter Megan. When Megan became school age, Miss Sharon took on a different career direction as an assembler employee for Boston Scientific, in Nine years later, her longing for teaching resurfaced. To make ends meet, she taught half day kindergarten during the day and made catheters at night. During the 2003/2004 school year, she was able to fulfill her ambition to once again become a full time preschool teacher. It was then that she came to realize how much she enjoyed telling and even writing stories for children. The school year ended with a program in which Miss Sharon shared her first written children's story - The Flower Garden, for her students to perform as she read along. Since then she has written 3 more stories. Linda the Ladybug Goes to Heaven, The Frog Pond & The Sparrow Family. Linda the Ladybug Goes to Heaven, is her first story to be published, with hopes of having the others follow in the near future.
Miss Sharon is also a talented musician, with over 40 years of experience as a violinist. She has developed an outreach called Roll Call Ministries that incorporates both her music and story telling. During her program, she picks audience members to simply act out what is being read. Via our imaginations, these people instantaneously change and take us on an incredible journey. The children in the audience become the characters from her books. They do such things as take us on a tour of Heaven and help us to discover what it is like to be a Christian Frog. It is a fun and very interactive evening, with inspirational music as well. If you would like to receive more information on Roll Call Ministries, you can e-mail Miss Sharon at: time4sharon@yahoo.com
