Policy-makers tend to view ethnic segregation of minority ethnic group in a negative light as it is seen as an obstacle to their integration. This book shows, however, that desegregation does not necessarily signify integration and that ethnic concentration may play a positive role in the incorporation of immigrants into the host society.
