The Sea Hawk (1940) and Captain Blood (1924) were all made into films during the silent era. Rafael-Angelo (also known as Binkie), Sabatini's lone child, was killed in a vehicle accident on April 1st, 1927. Sabatini and his wife Ruth got divorced in 1931. Sabatini and his wife Ruth got divorced in 1931. Sabatini's fiction, which is typically set in the past, tackles political intrigue, religion, and the role of chivalry and honor while amusing readers with witty dialogue.
