Thomas MacDonagh (1878-1916) was an Irish nationalist, poet, and playwright. A leader in the 1916 Easter Rising, he was court-martialed by the British and executed by firing squad in that year. His works include the poetry collections April and May, Songs of Myself, and Lyrical Poems.
