Autorenporträt
I was born March 24, 1973, in Fullerton, California, to Gregory and Patricia. My love for the written word began very early on. Some of my earliest memories are of his parents reading me bedtime stories. There were the Mother Goose and Brothers Grimm fairy tales, Aesop's fables, timeless children's classics like Where the Wild Things Are, The Giving Tree, and Ferdinand the Bull, but the ones that he remembers most were J. R. R Tolkien's works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. My brother would fall asleep in minutes, but not me. I hung on every word, begging for one more page. Each night, my father would begin by asking me to recap the story from the night before, which I would do in great detail. Fantasy fiction is still my favorite genre. I have written poetry and short stories for myself and my family my entire life, never having the courage to try to reach a larger audience. I am now forty years old, and my wife and children have encouraged me to take the leap of faith. My ten-year-old daughter, my "Little," is the illustrator of this book, and it has been an incredible project. They have help me embrace the truth that if I don't try, I can never succeed. I hope you all enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
