I have also put forward the alternative, a society where wealth is shared, rather than hoarded, and used for the common good. A planet where the vast majority of its citizens - the 99% - are in control, not a tiny elite, to allow us to plan our economy to solve environmental threats.

Andrew Walton is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and has served congregations in Forsyth, Georgia, Washington DC, and Clearwater, Florida. His weekly blog, One Eternal Presence, is in its sixth year of publication. Walton is currently pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Clearwater, Florida, where he and his wife live.
