They include falling out of his tree, getting enough good food, hearing his friends, and a younger chameleon wanting to wrestle.Each time he and his friends are challenged to use their heads and come up with a solution. Little Lion thinks he can get younger, and has willdness in him left that causes problems too. Last, Little Lion goes on a final adventure, in which he tries to find answer to a question he does not know. In this last set of stories, we see how loyal friends help to meet the needs of Little Lion.

The author enjoys telling stories to children and his own child. In an urban setting, he helped found and taught at a progressive elementary school, featuring arts integration. His interest in animals and folk-lore led him to write these "Just So" stories which seek to entertain and educate.
