Leo Marzi wurde 1961 in Wien geboren und absolvierte nach dem Besuch von Volksschule und dem humanistischen Gymnasium das Studium der Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Wien. Heute bekleidet er die Position des Stabstellenleiters in der ärztlichen Direktion des AKH Wien. Der Autor kann bereits auf verschiedene Vortragstätigkeiten sowie eine beachtliche Reihe wissenschaftlicher Publikationen zurückblicken. Seine Leidenschaft gilt dem Lesen und Klavierspielen, doch auch das Wandern, Schwimmen und Radfahren zählt er zu seinen liebsten Hobbys. Seine besondere Stärke sieht der Vater zweier erwachsener Töchter im analytischen Denken.
