I started writing this collection of poetry several years ago. I completed this collection last summer when there was a lot going on in my life -some good, a much needed move and a second trip to Haiti; some bad, unexpected deaths of three friends and a broken elbow. Through it all, I was able to reclaim my joy, gain ground and focus on the things that really mattered in my life.

The poetry in this collection is grouped into seven sections: Change, Inspiration, Love Lost, Love Found, The Streets, Humanity, and Beauty. I hope these poems will inspire you - in good times and bad - to "Live Lightly" and never, ever take one day for granted. Today, I'm doing just that!
