Des Parker is an Australian author who writes satiric and humorous novels

He is older than ten but won't admit it, because growing up is no fun. He used to work for the government, which explains why he writes comedy.

This also explains why his head is always somewhere else, which if you think about it, is about right for someone whose first books were about zombies, where missing body parts are par for the course.

He is married and has been for some time, he loves gadgets, classic cars, airships, old style sf tv shows, hovercraft, birds and fountain pens.

He lives by the bay, has an old piano he is still learning to play, an electric guitar that he can't yet play, but makes him look like an old rocker who has never done anywhere near enough drugs to be interesting.

He has a collection of small toys that don't fit on his desk, a collection of books that don't fit in his bookcases, a collection of junk that doesn't fit in his shed and a pile in the corner which he is sure occasionally breathes...
