In addition, the author joined hooligan groups in East and later in West Germany and consumed hard drugs such as cocaine and LSD. Andritzke's retrospective is a bitter indictment against all regimes of this world and a resounding ode to freedom. Steffen Andritzke grew up in Weimar, in the former GDR. He got to know the true face of the totalitarian SED state already as a child. Later he got on the wrong track (drugs and soccer riots) and, after putting in great efforts, he managed to lead a good life again.
