After completing a one-year course in magazine writing, she was urged by the school to continue with a course in novel writing. But she ceased the education as she believed she had no imagination for that. Months later, while sitting at her computer, this story began to come to her. She was amazed at how easy it was to record her thoughts. In the days and weeks ahead, the story kept expanding. She awakened from sleep to record a scene. When driving her car, she would pull over and write another scene. Winnie continues to write, including sequels to this book.
