Val and Daniel's grandson has decided to join the Army to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps. His unit is deployed to Afghanistan. Daniel and his team are on a covert, clandestine mission for the government in the same area. Val and the COC team works together to assist in a mission the military can't get involved in a rescue and recovery missions on the Pakistani side of the border. It is left up to Daniel and his people to handle the mission to rescue hostages as a nonmilitary mission. As Val and those on the home front prepares for the upcoming annual Christmas Gala.

BELLE CHISHOLM (Vera Akomah) is a retired senior non commissioned officer with thirty-two years of active military service in the Woman's Army Corp (WAC), US Army, Army Reserves, and the Federal Civil Service. Belle and her three siblings were raised by their grandmother, aunt and two uncles in Charlottesville, Virginia. After graduating from high school she enlisted during the Vietnam War in the Woman's Army Corp (WAC) and then the United States Army. She is a veteran of three wars and currently resides in Round Rock, TX with her husband Chris and her crew - Asia, Diego, and Q-Tip and her extended family - as she enjoys her retirement and continues her work as a writer and novelist.
