Autorenporträt
Craig Stanton lives with a cat named Tilly in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney in Australia and he works with books, especially old ones, which he also collects.Craig has a degree in Creative Writing from Sydney's University of Technology and is interested in - amongst other things - the history of China up to and during the Republican Era (1911 to 1949). He enjoys the literature of the early Twentieth Century particularly the 'weird fiction' of Arthur Machen, Lord Dunsany, M.R. James and H.P. Lovecraft - which goes some of the way towards explaining this collection of tales! Many of these interests get thrashed out at his blog site The Miskatonic Debating Club & Literary Society (http://www.mdcls.blogspot.com/).He mainly collects copies of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam by Edward FitzGerald and has a collection numbering in the several hundreds, especially versions produced in Australia and New Zealand across the two World Wars. These and other associated material are highlighted in his other blog, Moon of My Delight (http://www.pehlehvi.blogspot.com/).In the past, Craig has worked as an illustrator for various organisations and individuals and has had poetry published in the University of Newcastle's online Swamp anthology as well as narratorAUSTRALIA. He runs almost entirely on coffee.
