Banned globally for over a quarter-century, "Lovelorn Squids From Outer Space" was recently freed from international censure and already found its place alongside similar luminal works often kept under lock and key by the gatekeepers of morality and good taste. This book has something for everybody who enjoys love, greed, hate, depravity, and humor (both foul and fair) mixed in with scientific wonders, and flights of fancy with mythology come to life. There are dirty words in several languages (each spelled correctly!). There are space aliens, possessed scrolls, and Giant Walking Squids looking for boyfriends. There are acts of intimacy even the Kama Sutra dared not commit to print. There is treachery, redemption, and complaints about growing old. Meanwhile, Gods and mortals playing nice with each other...until they do not. There is lots and lots of wordplay. If read with an open mind, "Lovelorn Squids From Outer Space" should restore the reputation of the disgraced master of the macabre H. P. Honeycutt and his band of brave sub rosa agents. Much of the "voice" of this work is that of Charles LeBlanc, the last living Senior Agent, a survivor of two World Wars, and one conflict with the Elder Gods in which he won the rank of Punmaster General.
