Rita soon bursts his bubble and gets him to try out for the baseball team and to make a connection with Julie through music and sports. Clark's delayed sexual awakening is complicated because he is clueless about girls and sex. A baseball tournament and high school prom provide the focal points for Clark's fitful progress and growth. But will it all crash and burn when his father announces their next move?
