Algunas veces el sol y la luna estn muy cerca uno del otro para ofrecerle al cielo una imagen de calma y brillo. El libro recrea el sol y la luna en coloridos paisajes, y divertidas animaciones de animales en ambientes naturales. El libro destaca emociones humanas a la par de ensear que los nios pueden ayudar si estn atentos a los sentimientos de otros. Complementacin de roles y cooperacin son abordados a travs del cuento. El cuento tambin incluye la figura de un animal regional: el Morrocoy, quien vive en algunas reas de Sur Amrica. Este animal trae a los nios nuevos conceptos sobre especies y otras culturas. The moon recreates the sky with its beautiful presence. However, she is alone and she is sad because of it. One boy is sensitive to the moons feelings and in conjunction with other animals, tries to help her. They decide to bring a new friend to the moon, the sun, which will accompany her. The story complements the idea of natural events. Sun and moon would provide a calm and brightness image of the sky if they are together. The book recreates the sun and moon in colorful landscapes, and fun animation of animals in natural contexts. The story describes human feelings to teach children how they would help others if they are empathetic with others needs. Complement of roles and cooperation are implied through the story. The story also includes a regional animal: the morrocoy, who lives in some plain areas of South America. This animal will bring to children new concepts about other species and curiosity for other cultures.

Amarilys Reyes nació en un pueblo costero de Venezuela, Sur America. Ella completó sus estudios en la Universidad Central de Venezuela como Trabajadora Social con especializaciones en Gerencia de Recursos Humanos y Educación. Desde temprana edad, Ama ha estado en contacto directo con costumbres, tradición oral y música de culturas con influencia Africana y Amerindians. Ella estudió la música y danza de diferentes áreas de Venezuela. Ama emigró a los Estados Unidos de América en 2008, y completó estudios en Educación Preescolar y un master en Psychologia con énfasis en Terapia de Parejas y Familias. Actualmente, Ama trabaja como terapeuta de familias en un programa comunitario en el Valle de San Fernando, orientado a niños y familias, predominantemente de origen latino. Ama combina su interés en la educación, el arte y la música para crear estrategias que ayudan a niños y familias a hacer frente a los efectos de trauma, depresion, ansiedad y otras condiciones mentales. Ama tiene dos niños y vive con ellos y su perro Vainilla en California. Ama está preparando su segundo libro, específicamente diseñado para ayudar a los niños a superar los efectos de la violencia doméstica. Amarilys Reyes was born in a coastal town in Venezuela, South America. She completed her studies at the Central University of Venezuela, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Human Resource Management and Education. Since early age, Ama has experienced direct contact with the customs, verbal traditions, and music from cultures with African and American Indian influences. She studied popular-traditional music and dance from different areas of Venezuela. Ama immigrated to the United States in 2008, and completed studies in Early Childhood Education and a M.A. in Psychology with Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, she works as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in a children-family community based program in the San Fernando Valley, predominantly with the latino population. Ama combined her interest in education, art and music to create strategies that help children and families to cope with aftereffects of trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental conditions. Ama has two kids and lives with them and her dog Vanilla in California. Ama is preparing a second book specifically designed to help children to cope with domestic violence.
