I Nancy M. Wolf have been an educated Child Nutrition Lunch Lady for 9 years. It was an honor and privilege to not only prepare more nutritious meals, but also be a part of a groundbreaking agenda brought about by our precious first lady Michelle Obama making it mandatory for our children to have fresh vegetables, and fruits daily, as well as, have them take a healthy portion per day. The younger students are learning to love their fruits and vegetables. It has been wonderful to be a part of such an awesome program. I was born and raised in Tacoma Washington when coming home from school stating I was hungry my mama would always say there are apples and oranges pick one; of course I said " I don't want that" she said, your obviously not very hungry then are you. Too true when my father was passing away with cancer in 2005 he was so proud of my taking nutrition classes, and stated he honestly felt obesity will become more of a killer than cancer in the future. Then asked me to write something to help. I mainly have written poetry and songs this is my first book project. I not only hope you enjoy it I tested it on my granddaughter who hated green vegetables she so fell in love with one of the characters my little Jocelyn now asks for broccoli on a regular bases. Hope it works for your little ones as well. As a giver for good causes proceeds will be donated to St. Jude's Hospital for Children. Seeing my father pass of cancer no child should have to endure that kind of agony I hope you agree.
