The main room upstairs was dim and filled with women, most of them naked. The floor was covered with mats and thick pillows. In the center of the back wall was a large plush chair. I had seen kings call smaller chairs thrones. The Madam was lounging on the chair, her hand lazily twirling the golden curls of the woman kneeling at her side.
To the right of the door was a woman in leather armor, a short, curved sword at her belt. She looked me up and down but didn't move as I picked my way through the room, careful not to step on any of the women lounging about. It wasn't until I was within a few feet of the Madam that she finally acknowledged my presence.
"Well, the great hunter finally returns," she said, her voice having the soft accent of a highborn woman. She was wearing a thin purple silk shift wrapped around her that seemed far too thin for the room. Her breasts were plump, and her nipples pushed through the flimsy material. The sight of her excited me, much more than the naked night woman that lounged around the room. "I am guessing that you are here for your reward."
