"Mahomet and His Successors" - is a work by the American romantic writer, "father of the American literature" I. Washington (1783 - 1859). This book-treatise was written in 1849. It is dedicated to the prophet Mahomet, who created one of the three world religions - Islam - and with the help of peaceful sermon united around him the masses of people and after that, in the role of the politician and military leader, created the most powerful state, which initiated the Arabian caliphate. According to the doctrine of Islam, through Mahomet God sent the people the Koran.
