Hero myths have recognizable narratives that relate to our own lives, whether it is about overcoming obstacles, discovering our talents or helping our community. Autorenporträt
Jon Sargent's inspiration and love of the outdoors came from the critters he grew up with in Florida. Turtles, bugs and snakes were his constant companions. Mythology and the environment inspires much of his work. His photography and paintings have been showcased in numerous gallery exhibitions. His experimental films have been screened at film festivals.

Jon currently lives in Colorado with a number of critters at his side: his box turtle and his rescue Tortie cat. He has yet to find a snake taking up residence under his refrigerator, which was often the case back in Florida. He and his pets nevertheless remain ever vigilant.
