Produktbeschreibung
The novel "Martyrs of Intolerance" by French writer Michel Zevaco is considered one of the most prominent literary works that evoke one of the most famous and inflammatory historical periods in European history. The author skillfully blends historical facts with narrative sequences, giving the novel unparalleled literary depth. The events of this novel take place in France during the reign of King Francis II (who died in 1560 AD). The novel realistically and poignantly reviews the impact of the long and disturbing religious wars that broke out between Catholics and Protestants over the centuries. These wars left enormous human impacts and losses, as France lost its sons and prominent scientists, in addition to the suffering of women and children. They were truly martyrs of the blind religious fanaticism that opened fire on the scene regardless of human values ¿¿and political interests. The writer, Michel Zivaco, is a French novelist known for his literary works, which were written in an interesting and attractive language. He was born on the island of Corsica in 1860 AD, studied at school and completed his university studies before joining the army. But his passion for writing made him work in journalism and publish his revolutionary views. He was tried and imprisoned because of his bold statements against the regime. After his release from prison, he devoted himself to writing and wrote many popular novels and series that were admired by readers and were translated into several languages, including Arabic.
