Autorenporträt
Hi there! I'm Allana Williams, and I'm so excited to share a bit about myself with you. Growing up between the vibrant culture of Jamaica and the fast-paced life in the United States, I was always surrounded by stories- whether through music, art, or the everyday magic of life. As a kid, I dreamed of creating my own stories that would bring joy and wonder to children everywhere. Today, I'm living out that dream, and I couldn't be happier. Writing and illustrating are my ways of sharing the world as I see it-full of color, life, and the beautiful lessons that connect us all. My Jamaican roots are a big part of who I am, and they shine through in the tales I tell. In fact, *"Maya and the Riotous Fruits"* is based on my own childhood visits to my grandmother's house in Jamaica. I can still remember climbing the big mango tree in her yard, surrounded by the lush beauty of her garden. Those experiences inspired the story, and I hope they bring a smile to your face just as they did to mine. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better-I can't wait to share more stories with you and continue this incredible journey together!
