Autorenporträt
MaryCollene was born in North Carolina and shortly after high school graduation, she moved to New York where she began her career and resumed her education studying part time evenings. She retired after working over 40 years at a major insurance company in New York City. Her inspiration for writing poems stems from her journey of life experiences and her Christian background. She chose to dedicate the next journey of her life to increasing her service to God in the ministry of Christ and in the community, after retirement. A few years later, she was anointed by the Holy Spirit to preach. She is currently a member of First Baptist Church of Chapel Hill, NC where she sings in the choir, and serves in other ministries of the Church. She is a former member of Upper Room Christian World Center of Deer Park, NY, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the drama team. She is also a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Wyandanch, NY, where she sang in the Senior Choir and the Mass Choir and was a member of the Missionaries, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of some of the other auxiliaries. She was instrumental in organizing a monthly nursing home visit for the Missionaries of Fellowship Baptist Church. In her youth, she joined her Mother's church, Cool Spring Baptist Church, Ernul, NC, and was baptized there.

This is her first published book.
