"Medieval Warfare: History of the Art of War, Volume III" - is a book issued from Hans Delbrück's pen, a distinguished German historian (1848-1929). The Byzantine art of war and general overview of Crusades are changed into description of knights, their tournaments and battles of the German Empire against Italian cities. Chronologically these events refer to the early period of the Middle Ages and are supplemented by characteristic of military activities of civil troop soldiers against privileged knights. Finally, the final chapter is articulated on the Burgundian Wars and military equipment of the Swiss.
