This is a story of how two women never decoupled, and how they persevered through gut-wrenching adversity in their adult lives. It's also a story of how two men found a way to restore their friendship after three decades of self-imposed separation. The main characters come alive, are recognizable and ones the reader will care about and empathize with. A patchwork of intriguing supporting actors play a critical role in the novel. Each one lends credence to the plot line and a full measure of poignant human drama.
