Autorenporträt
The author's first article was published in the Washington, D.C. Star when she was eleven years old. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she moved to Hawaii, Saipan, and Guam. She was a reporter, columnist, and feature writer for the Guam Daily News, the Pacific Journal, and the Pacific Daily News. She wrote the first tourist guide to Guam and Micronesia. She worked for the U. S. Navy and Air Force as a technical writer/editor. When she retired from U.S. Civil Service in 1991, she moved to Fraser Valley, Colorado, where, between skiing and hiking, she wrote four books. Her travel articles have been published in magazines and Sunday newspaper travel sections. A cruise aficionado, she has traveled the seven seas on ships ranging from copra freighters to luxury liners. She lives in Maui, where she enjoys paying an exorbitantly high cost-of-living.
