James' dad always did like to play treasure hunt games with him. So much so that even after his death James finds one last map, but this one is larger than any other map he's ever used. Still it offers a nice reprieve from dealing with his father's estate, so he sets out on an adventure to find where the map will lead him.

Jabal's pod of mermaids has been waiting for the return of a male figure, one to complete their pod. When a presence makes it's way into the cavern she has a strong feeling who it is and that their wait will soon come to an end. They've traveled many miles for this and can barely hold back their excitement. Still, cooler heads prevail to take their time and investigate this new potential mate.

While the cavern turns out less than full, the treasure his father led him to is greater than James could ever imagine, most certainly the pleasure is.

Autorenporträt

JC Winchester grew up reading just about anything he could get his hands on, from cereal boxes to the Hardy Boys. He loves most forms of fiction, particularly fantasy and military sci-fi, with some of his favorite authors including John Ringo, Robert Jordan, and Tom Clancy.

After several years in the Navy he enrolled in a community college and eventually to a university in the mountains. There he settled down, savoring a life not filled with the noises of the city but instead the sounds of bellowing cattle.

When not writing he can usually be found taking care of the horses on his place, riding, hiking, fishing, or the never ending task of splitting firewood.
