Ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) possess high specific strength and modulus at elevated temperature, and have already been applied in hot-section components in aero-engines. To ensure the operation reliability and safety of CMCs components, it is necessary to understand the micro damage mechanisms and internal damage state in the composites. This book focuses on the micromechanics of CMCs at elevated temperatures, including, the stress-strain behavior, proportional limit stress, residual strength, mechanical hysteresis, interface damage, strain response, and lifetime of CMCs at elevated…mehr

This book focuses on the micromechanics of CMCs at elevated temperatures, including, the stress-strain behavior, proportional limit stress, residual strength, mechanical hysteresis, interface damage, strain response, and lifetime of CMCs at elevated temperatures. This book can help the material scientists and engineering designers to better understand and master the micromechanics of CMCs at elevated temperatures.
Dr. Longbiao Li is a lecturer in the College of Civil Aviation at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Li’s research focuses on the vibration, fatigue, damage, fracture, reliability, safety and durability of aircraft and aero engine. In this research area, he is the first author of 202 SCI Journal Publications (58 JCR Q1), 11 Monograph, 4 Edited Books, 4 Textbooks, 3 Book Chapters, 33 Chinese Patents, 2 US Patents, 2 Chinese Software Copyright, and more than 30 refereed conference proceedings. He has been involved in different projects related to structural damage, reliability, and airworthiness design for aircraft and aero engines, supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, COMAC Company, and AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Company.
