Autorenporträt
A Migrant whose only arsenal of succeeding was praying, she left her country to go and seek for ways to support her family. She came to a decision to leave her children due to struggle and endless battery the father of her children subjected her to, he battered her almost to death. She suffered in the hands of her children's father for twenty years and she could not take it any longer. She left this violent senseless father of her children and also left her two children under her auntie's care. She travelled to the Middle East, Hong Kong, the United States of America as well as United Kingdom. She was in the painful and unbearable quest for financial independence in order to be able to support her two children. She went through terrible experiences and challenges as she worked her fingers to the bone. A Migrant who was beaten, enslaved and overworked by different employers, in different countries learned to tolerate the worst and she was determined to work hard. She was determined to keep going to pursue her dreams as well as to provide for her children back home. Struggles along with activity of going down on her knees got her this far, she made it really big! She became successful Entrepreneur. The tears that dropped down her cheeks, became like a diamond stones that shone in the moon light and brightened the life journey, for her, her two children, her five grandchildren and her now husband. Sylvia Orlando and her family settled in the United Kingdom, the country they now call home.
