In the summer of '58, in a village in the Greek countryside, a woman kills her two children. "Milk, Blood" takes the story of Medea to a time when women are just beginning to realize that life does not have the same fate in store for the two sexes. Xeni, restricted for years to the roles of daughter, wife and mother, lives under the watchful eye of the narrow society where she was brought to live. When her husband marries another woman and she is expelled from the village, she performs one last act of care for her children.
