LaMeshia spent most of her adult life in Georgia where she wrote and published her first book "Psalms of a Wounded Vessel" a compilation of poems, songs and inspirational readings. She also cowrote- codirected and coproduced the award-winning stage play "When the Church Doors Close," and wrote all the original music for the stage play as well. LaMeshia, affectionately known by close family and friends as "MeMe," decided to adopt the pen name LaMeshia Melodic, coined from a nickname given to her by a childhood friend who always described her singing voice as sounding "So Melodic." She established her company So Melodic Enterprises in 2008 after the same namesake. Her pride and joy is her only son Donovan, who she loves more than anything and spends a great deal of her time with. LaMeshia, She is not a genre specific author.
