Autorenporträt
Dr. Fidel Angel Santiago has a Doctoral degree from Columbia University. The author has been a Professor at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York since September 1994. This was after his retirement from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 1994. Dr. Santiago published his Doctoral dissertation, "The Training of Air Traffic Controllers: A Case Study," and his memoirs in two volumes, "Recollections of a New York Puerto Rican." He also published "The Human Element in Action," and "Opinions and Reactions of a New York Puerto Rican." The author served in the United States Navy as "a radioman" with "Fleet Air Wing 10" in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war he was employed as an Air Traffic Controller, and thereafter as "A Training Specialist," both of which were with the Federal Aviation Administration.
