MICKEY MORNINGGLORY hails from Florida and is a former schoolteacher, storyteller, and performer. Her diverse background includes the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), Apalachicola Band of Eastern Creek Indians, theater, civic light opera, and ethnomusicology. She has written plays, musicals, and novels for all ages under the pen names of Michelle Busby, Mickey Lane, Mickey Middleton, Mickey MorningGlory, and M.M. Busby. She belongs to Sisters in Crime (SinC), Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Women's Fiction Writers Association (WFWA), American Copy Editors Society (ACES), Editorial Freelancers Association, and National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE). Ms. MorningGlory's close ties with indigenous Native tribes has made her "a friend of many fires."
