Autorenporträt
I am an ordinary guy. I have no advanced degrees, no Ivy League record, I have a house painting and handyman business, and have written stories and poetry, off-and-on, since high school. Like everyone else, I am slightly more sensitive than most, full of dreams, and still learning how to put courage into practice.

I spent six years in college, taking extras like African Literature and Acting, and almost graduated with a B.S. in Music in Scoring and Arranging. (I fell in love with a girl, and spent April and May of my almost-graduating year, paying attention to her, instead of writing the music for my recital.) After that, I kept writing jazz (my 'Thing', at that time), performed the part of Jesus in the St. John Passion, sang jazz with an a capella vocal quartet, played in a Balinese Gamelan Orchestra, and worked three jobs.

Working the day job turned out to be the most important pivot for a grand shift in my life that occurred at that point — I met another girl, married her, got religion, moved to Montana, and gave up music for a while.

Marrying my sweet wife, Laurie, turned out the best thing I ever did. I became a human being (instead of just a Musician) for the first time in my life. From her, I learned compassion, patience, Love, faith... and we began to build a humble life and a great marriage. She was, and is, the Love Of My Life! To my great sorrow, she passed on suddenly in August of 2017.
