Even before studying eighteenth-century literature in graduate school, Evelyn Richardson decided she would have preferred to have lived in England between 1775 and 1830. Now living outside of Boston, she enjoys access to the primary sources that allow her to explore the details of the period and immerse herself in the same journals her heroines enjoyed which for her, as a longtime reference librarian, is the best of all possible worlds
