She aims to raise awareness about common vision disorders and the importance of their early detection and prevention through regular eye exams and early vision screenings. Envisioning a world where preventable eye conditions are caught early, she founded Baseera, a non-profit organization, to improve access to basic eye care in developing countries. She hopes her books will help children and grown-ups understand the importance of healthy eyesight.
