Paul J. Brindley is a Professor of Microbiology and Tropical Medicine at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Medicine, George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Washington, DC. His research interests include genomics/ proteomics of helminth parasites, including endogenous mobile genetic elements, gene manipulation and transgenesis of helminth parasites, and infection related cancers. He has held academic appointments and fellowships in Australia, Ireland and the USA. He is deputy editor of PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
