Zidane has monitored in this book the history of Egypt since the era of the Pharaohs, through the Islamic conquest and the succession of the rulers and Islamic countries over Egypt, until the situation during the era of Mamluk rule and the political and cultural earthquake that the French campaign against Egypt brought against, then the Alawite family of Muhammad Ali and his grandchildren until the time of the book was written.
