Ahmed Faheem Zobaa, Ph.D., is a Reader in power systems, an MSc Course Director, and a Full Member of the Institute of Energy Futures at Brunel University London. He has been a member of the faculty at Cairo University since 2003 and has been a Full Professor there since 2013. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Senior Lecturer in renewable energy at the University of Exeter. He received BSc (Hons), MSc, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power and Machines from Cairo University in 1992, 1997, and 2002, respectively. His main areas of expertise are power quality, (marine) renewable energy, smart grids, energy efficiency, and lighting applications. Dr. Zobaa is an Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Renewable Energy Technology, Technology and Economics of Smart Grids and Sustainable Energy , and the International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education. He is an Editorial Board member, Editor, Associate Editor, and Editorial Advisory Board member for many international journals. He is a registered Chartered Engineer, Chartered Energy Engineer, European Engineer, and International Professional Engineer. He is also a registered member of the Engineering Council UK, Egypt Syndicate of Engineers, and the Egyptian Society of Engineers. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of UK, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Energy Institute of U.K., the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Royal Society of Arts, the African Academy of Science, and the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors, and a senior member of the IEEE. He is also a member of the International Solar Energy Society, the European Power Electronics and Drives Association, and the IEEE Standards Association. Shady H. E. Abdel Aleem, Ph.D., received B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power and Machines from the Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University, Egypt, in 2002, and the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt, in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Valley Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, Science Valley Academy, Qalubia, Egypt. He is the Vice Dean for Community & Environmental Services. Since September 2019, he is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, College of Engineering and Technology, Smart Village Campus, where he teaches power quality energy efficiency, wind energy, and energy conversion courses. He is also a consultant of power quality studies with ETA Electric Company, Egypt. His research interests include harmonic problems in power systems, power quality, renewable energy, smart grid, energy efficiency, optimization, green energy, and economics. Dr. Shady is the author or co-author of 160 plus journal and conference papers and18 plus book chapters and is the editor of eight books. He was awarded the State Encouragement Award in Engineering Sciences in 2017 from Egypt. He was also awarded the medal of distinction from the first class of the Egyptian State Award in 2020. Dr. Shady is a senior member of the  IEEE and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET). He is an Editor/Guest Editor/Associate Editor for the International Journal of Renewable Energy Technology, Vehicle Dynamics, IET Journal of Engineering, Energies, Sustainability, Technology and Economics of Smart Grids and Sustainable Energy, and others.
