Autor

The author is married with two children and two dogs. Her first and only marriage is to her husband Gerry since 1985. Gerry has owned and operated his own successful contracting business since 1987. Her daughter Danielle played club volleyball and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Public Health and has a Master's degree from San Diego State. Her son Bobby graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in finance and insurance. The author played two Division 1 sports in college, basketball and cross country and graduated from a Big 12 University. She worked in government and public service for around 25 years in the design, construction and maintenance of public roads, landscaping and facilities. She is a licensed property tax appraiser, licensed landscape contractor and certified electrical designer. She won over 15 State and local awards of excellence for her work in local government. She served on several local agency governing Boards in various capacities as President, Director, Vice President and Secretary. She always tells her husband, who was originally from Belgium, that they should be proud of themselves. He came to the United States with only a few hundred dollars, about the same amount as what the author had when she graduated college. They always say, "we started out with nothing and we still have most of it left."
