Also, is it possible we create a powerful illness of the mind - and body - as a way to escape the trauma of the past and the dread of the future? Is illness a distraction, or, a call for help? Can we alleviate the power of trauma by using a sickness of the mind, or the body, to distract from the painful memory of the past?

The trauma of molesting destroys who we were meant to be. We're forever a child trapped in that dark room, forever waiting for the dreaded touch, the sick smile, and the soft whisper of a person who opens the door to the nightmare of life.
