Having started a degree in medicine and finished one in geology, Debbie Thomas followed the obvious path into journalism. After training as a BBC radio reporter, she lived for 10 years in Bangladesh and South Africa where she worked for aid agencies and never quite plucked up the courage to go shark diving. She is the author of Dead Hairy and Jungle Tangle.
