Autorenporträt
Each parable is brief but packed with discernment and occasional humor, and most readers find it hard to stop reading after only one or two. This is just the book for you if you need encouragement in times of difficulty, stress, or troubles. Many turn to it for comfort in times of sadness and grief. Some have even found it to be a rich resource for devotional talks and readings. You'll find your own favorite parables and uses and may find yourself reading it over and over for new revelations.

Jack's first wife, Lyn, whose name appears in several of these parables, was taken by colon cancer in January, 2010, after a determined three-year battle. In a way that only the Lord could have devised, Jack was brought together with Joyce Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee, and they were married nearly three years later. They now reside in Marietta, Georgia, near his three married daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Joyce has two married sons and five grandchildren.
