Autorenporträt
Marrilynne Taylor (nee Jones) was born in 1950 in Bebington on the Wirral Peninsular, England. Living most of her life on the Wirral, and moved to Shropshire in 1997, where she has lived ever since.

Graduating from John Moores University in 1991 with an honours degree in psychology and in 1995 at Liverpool University with a diploma and master degree in social work.

She is a mother to two daughters and grandmother to three granddaughters. She remarried in 1999 to Ted Taylor.

Her occupation is that of senior social worker at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, employed by Shropshire Council.

She commenced writing poetry in April 2008 and has written a selection of poetry on a variety of subjects.

Inspired by her dream of seeing Maligne Lake in Jasper Alberta, she wrote her first poem entitled "Inside the Picture." A flood gate was released and poems poured forth. She writes poetry because she cannot ignore the drive she has to do so.
