Katy Bryce is a freelance writer and copywriter who works with businesses and organizations that inspire people to travel, get outside, seek adventure, enjoy nature, and care for the environment. With a background in environmental education and outreach, she has a deep appreciation for outdoor recreation and conservation. She has been mountain biking in Oregon for 20 years and has bike toured in Oregon, Mexico, and Central America, as well as biked the entire Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. She is a world traveler; she and her husband recently spent a full year surfing around the globe. Katy has lived in Bend since 1997, when she first ventured on to the famed Phil's Trail on her Gary Fisher steel hard tail. Over the years, she has ridden every trail in the area, some of them many times over. She has been involved with the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) for the past 15 years, both as a volunteer and board member. She and her husband Chris also have a bike part business, The Robert Axle Project, which manufactures and sells thru-axles for mountain, road, and cross bikes both in the U.S. and internationally. Katy regularly writes for Cascade Journal (formerly Central Oregon Magazine), the Inertia, and numerous outdoor and environmentally friendly businesses. Most of her writing has something to do with cycling, surfing, travel, adventure, recreation, or sustainability. - Hometown: Bend, OR - Website/Blogs: www.katybryce.com http: //www.robertaxleproject.com/ - Published books: This will be Katy's first book.
