Whenever the protagonist thinks about her old sick mother living in a remote countryside, she always thinks about a man who lived among the mountains. The unforgettable event happened about two years ago. One day, she got a sudden telegraph that informed her of her mother's serious illness. She hurridely ran to the train station and got in the train at the last minute. Because her hometown was very far away from her current residence, she would have to transfer multiple times. At her last transferring station, she switched from the train to the bus on the way to her hometown. But the heavy weather was not helping the traffic. Besides, the bus road was wounding around the high mountain range while the rain was pouring down. Then, the bus was stuck on the edge of a cliff. The bus driver and its assistant was perplexed. But soon, the assistant brought with him a man who was tall and seemed strong. He was the passengers' savior. He wrapped the thick rope around his waist and almost single-handedly pulled on the bus on the brink of falling down the cliff. The rain was pouring heavily, he fell down from being slippery many times and bled profusely while doing this. At last he managed to move the bus onto a safe place, with the little help from the passengers. Then, the man suddenly asked the driver and his assistant if it was ok to bring his sick old mother up here so that she could be treated in the hospital. But they refused his request. Dismayed, he dropped on the ground. When the bus was leaving, he suddenly jumped up and started to throw rocks at the moving bus. Why was he so angry?
