The novel Mountain of Legends by Amal Ziadeh... who holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Ain Shams University, is married and has two children. She works as a freelance journalist for the Kuwaiti Al-Seyassah newspaper, Al-Ahram newspaper, and the New Culture magazine affiliated with the General Authority for Culture Palaces, and an active member of the Writers' Union. Fiction production: Novels varied between romance, science fiction, drama, and social fiction: Iron Smelting, The Cave, Mountain of Legends, In the Mind, Blood in Exile, and The Stray. The writer won several awards in local competitions in which she participated with short stories, and the novel Mountain of Legends won the Nihad Sharif Award for Science Fiction Literature. The novel discusses the issue of genetic synthesis through research carried out by a bold journalist who accidentally finds herself part of a major conflict within a mysterious suspenseful framework. The story ends with a great surprise. The writer confirmed that her novel, The Mountain of Legends, is based on realistic events, as she read in several newspapers about a mountain that emits sounds that turn children gray, and everyone believes that it is haunted by jinn. The writer was able to shed light on several life problems even though the novel falls under the category of science fiction books, which enriched the work. The writer did not specify a specific time period in which the events take place, and commented that she hates restricting any literary work to a period of time, stressing that creating a period of time gives the work a special elegance.
