Dr. Mary Simms has over twenty-five years of professional counseling and speaking experience, working with families and individuals in the areas of marriage and family, relationships, abuse, addiction, and recovery. Dr. Simms has worked and taught at the university level as well as in hospital and corporate settings, and is currently in private practice. Throughout her career, she has been recognized as a voice of hope, helping thousands live better quality lives. Having grown up in the inner city and experiencing firsthand the effects of violence and abuse, she understands the journey of moving past pain to achieve a God-given purpose. Dr. Simms is also a two-time cancer survivor, familiar with the amazing power of God to heal, redeem, and restore. Dr. Simms was a contributor to Susan Osborns books Wounded by Words, Too Soon to Say Goodbye, and Invisible Chains. She has also published articles entitled Starting Over, and Deep Valleys in Just Womens Magazine. She has traveled internationally with LifeBranch Institute International, a nonprofit marriage and family ministry designed to strengthen families and relationships.
