Rezensionen
"Written especially for IT professionals involved in video production and multimedia management, this volume examines in detail the requirements of digital video and media professionals and the robust, secure and scalable storage solutions available to them. Beginning with overview material on server types, buses, disks and physical mediums, the work proceeds through a practical discussion of media specific storage issues including trans-coding and wrappers, multi-user IP storage, archives and backups, metadata and media asset management, clustering and resilience and virtualization. The work includes illustrations and tables and access to a companion website is provided."--Reference and Research Book News
